📌 Job Overview
Kilombero Sugar Company Limited is currently seeking 7 qualified and hardworking individuals to fill the position of Hookers. The selected candidates will play a critical role in handling bulk sugar bags at the loading bay, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with operational standards.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
As a hooker, your duties will include the following:
- Safely hooking and unhooking 1-ton bulk sugar bags at the loading bay using crane systems
- Ensuring bags are properly secured before lifting or moving
- Removing bag handles from crane hooks during offloading
- Scanning bulk bags during receiving, stacking, and destacking operations
- Maintaining cleanliness and proper housekeeping in the working area
- Participating in Continuous Improvement (CI) meetings by suggesting operational improvements
- Adhering strictly to safety, health, and environmental standards
- Reporting any unsafe or non-compliant situations through the company’s incident reporting system
- Ensuring all operations meet ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 standards for quality and food safety
- Performing any other duties assigned related to plant operations
✅ Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants must have:
- Form IV Certificate (O-Level education)
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, or similar roles (added advantage)
