The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MoEVT) changed the existing Diploma in Secondary Education (DSE) curriculum from a two-tier system to a one-tier system in 2009. Those in the two-tire system had to spend one year in college and the rest of their time in the field, whereas students in the one-tire system would spend all two years in college..
